London in Lockdown
01-Spring-MAR2020-1053018.jpg
A Fraction of the Whole is a chronological series, captured in the weeks and months surrounding lockdown as the Covid-19 pandemic sweeps the globe. The work features trips to the local shops, visits to nearby parks or candid moments from journeys myself and my partner made to St Thomas’ Hospital before and after the arrival of our newborn twins, which incidentally happened on the 7th April. I’m delighted to say all are safe and well and it goes without saying, a thousand thank yous to the amazing NHS staff who looked after us during those strange yet wonderful times. The collection starts with the arrival of white cherry blossom on Streatham Common and ends with the re-opening of the Tate Modern as lockdown rules relax across the country. Are we due another lockdown? I fear so. Whatever happens. Stay safe and go well.
